Addi Road community centre in Sydney rescues and redistributes food destined for landfill. The leftover food that cannot be redistributed before spoilage does not go to landfill or distant industrial composting facilities. They process it in their composting systems to produce rich organic soil to replenish the depleted soils and feed the plants on site.
