Soul warming community composting

By Xuan Wang

Who would have thought food scraps are the new ‘weather’ conversation as ice breaker that local residents can offer help and receive help?

Human beings are reciprocal beings. This means when others offer some help or assistance, one is more likely to show reciprocity in their own form.

I spoke to the volunteer journalist from @North West Melbourne News from local NFP (Neighbourhood House in North West Melbourne) The Centre: Connecting Community in North & West Melbourne about my story, as well the work I have been doing:

Food scraps are universally accessible tools (with the knowledge of how to separate and how to process and apply) to build resilience in our soil and our community. Local community compost activities have the repetitive and periodical interactions. Human beings are reciprocal beings. This means when others offer some help or assistance, one is more likely to show reciprocity in their own form.

I’d love to hear if you have heard of or are part of a community compost action in which there are heart warming stories. I feel that we can all use some good vibes and good stories!
