Are you a local community group in the Gympie or Somerset Region seeking funding for a community-led initiative?

Grants of up to $10,000 are available from Queensland Hydro’s Community Grants Program for initiatives that strengthen community connection, support the local economy, enhance the environment and promote health and wellbeing.

We will be delivering a free grant writing workshop to help participants build grant writing skills and develop stronger funding applications.

• When: Tuesday 11 August 2026 | 4pm-6pm.

Places are limited and registration is essential. To give as many organisations as possible the opportunity to attend, registrations are limited to one representative per group. We encourage you to bring an idea for a grant application that you would like to submit.

Applications for the Queensland Hydro Community Grants Program will open on Monday 3 August and close on Sunday 30 August 2026. Program guidelines and application information will be available on our website when the round opens.
